I have repeatedly tried redownloading and installing the drivers from nVidea but keep getting the same error. Can anyone help?? I have been busting to get this working as I have had a brand new copy of Crysis waiting to play but need the video card upgrade to make it work.:cry

I noticed you have an SiS chipset. SiS has a seperate driver for the AGP slot, and when it's not installed properly (or outdated in comparison to the AGP card in the slot), it can cause strange things to happen. These things can also happen with the AGP driver in SiS chipsets for no reason whatsoever. Anyhow, shut down the PC, remove the power cord, and remove your 6800GT video card. Plug into the on board video or use your old video card. Boot up and remove the NVidia software. Run a temp file cleaner while your at it to be sure. Here's a link that may help with removal: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/...GV4dD11bmluc3RhbGwgZHJpdmVy&p_li=&p_topview=1
After the NVidia drivers have been removed, reboot the PC and locate the newest available drivers for your chipset. I found these at GigaByte's web site: http://www.giga-byte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/Driver_Model.aspx?ProductID=1699
You'll notice that the chipset driver is actually an AGP driver. Download it. DO NOT install it yet. Go to Add/Remove programs and remove the SiS AGP driver if it's listed. When it's done, or if it isn't listed, shut down the PC and unplug the power cord and put the 6800GT in the AGP slot, be sure everything is hooked up correctly, and power up. Now, install the new SiS AGP software, If it asks for a reboot, reboot. If not, install the newest NVidia driver for the 6800GT. Reboot. All should be OK. If it's still giving you weirdness, it could be because something is not uninstalling completely from the registry, or from the system files and a 3rd party software/driver uninstaller may be needed.
    Good luck!

Ok...well that sounded really easy until I got to the part where I'm meant to uninstall the nVidea drivers...when I am in "add/ remove programs " nVidea Drivers is on the list but when I click on "change/remove" nothing happens. Not a thing. Any ideas??
