    Hello
Should I uninstall my old drivers before installing new?
Experience advised me this am that there was a new update.
Should I use the control panel and uninstall all NVidea if required or use DDU instead?
    Thank you
    Peter

If your system is working normally, there is no actual need to update any drivers.
I have no idea who or what 'Experience' is so (or 'DDU' for that matter) you would need to explain that in more detail clearly.

Agree with Max. NVidea are regularly issuing new drivers adding things I have no need at all for. I ignore them, along with other driver updates where there is no apparent need.

If you aren't having video problems, don't update drivers.

Haha, I see while I was reading other posts, others have offered the same opinion as me.

Turn off whatever you use to search for drivers. In about 99% of the cases, a newer driver is NOT needed.

Experience is a program NVidia uses to facilitate updates.
    The link explains DDU.

Is it true that to update a driver, one should first download the new one to desktop, uninstall the old then install the new?

I accept the consensus that I should not update NVidia.

I wonder if I can remove all updates and just run NVidia. My flickering was gone for months until the last update.
Months ago I had flickering but an update fixed it. Now one has caused it again.

I have Nvidia components. I have never been offered 'Experience' and I wouldn't use it. I wouldn't use DDU either.
Just leave things alone if your system is WORKING normally.
As you say it is only problems that should lead to checking for updates. No problems, leave well alone.

I just wanted to know for future use.

Not that is not true. If you obtain an updated driver from the manufacturer, the install instructions are clear in telling you how to do it.
If you use a good program like DriverTalent, a child can do it.
You very rarely have to uninstall an existing driver to update it.

I have 6 entries in my control panel >programs and features which pertain to NVidea. My screen is flickering. Should I now install new drivers and if so how should I go about it. I have checked all cables,VGA ,and the monitor is relatively new. I run Win 10 x 64. It has been happening lately when I close windows.
