   The new drivers for the gForce2 MX/MX400 do not work with DirectX 9.0b. Is there any way to fix the problem?

   you mean a GeForce 2 MX? Man that thing is old... DirectX 9 isnt supported anyway so installing it will not help at all, other than a couple of security bug updates. I'd keep DirectX 8 for the time being, and I'm afraid that issue is unlikley to be resolved by nVidia
