Nvidia card / Eizo screen : blurred display

Hello all, I hope someone will be able to help me and my eyes...

This is the problem :
I have a Geforce4 TI 4200 graphic card and a Eizo L557 screen ; they run on Windows 2000 SP4.

Everything used to work well until I re-installed my OS and updated all my drivers.
Since then, the display on my screen is blurred, except in 1280 x 1024, which is a too high resolution for me to use.

So I tried to change the drivers ; I tried installing latest and older drivers for both my screen and my graphic card, but it wouldn't solve the issue.

Can it be linked with something else, another device for example ?
Does anyone know a magical driver that could fix this problem ?

the reason why your display is blurry is that the native resolution of your lcd monitor is 1280 by 1024. When you try to use a lower resolution the screen has to use interpolation which is why you get a blurry image. It happens on all LCDs.

What I suggest is to set the display to 1280 by 1024, and try to increase font and icon sizes to compensate for the smaller text and icons. You can do this in internet explorer and firefox for web browsing. For your desktop, right click on an empty area, select properties, and choose the appearance tab.

 

Well, thanks a lot for your answer, it seems that the only solution for me is to change resolution...

But what really teases me is that the display was OK in any resolution before I updated all my drivers.
I don't like when things change without my agreement
If it was ok once, it should be ok again now... Isnt'it ?
