Who here is running 2 monitors on an nVidia card? My question pertains to the 8800GTS, but any nVidia card will suffice...

If you have 2 monitors and the secondary one is off when Windows boots, can you turn it on at a later time and have it work?

The reason I ask is because I have my Sony plasma hooked up to my 8800GTS but if I do not have it on when I turn on my computer, it doesn't get detected. So if I want to watch a DVD on my TV, I have to reboot my computer. My old ATI 9600XT would pick it up regardless if it was on or off at the time I powered on my computer. Also, this is happening in Vista 64 and it was happening in XP (32 bit).

I have 8800GT and duel screen

I can unplug my secondary monitor and plug it back in with out problems, maby its due to the fact its a TV not a normal screen?

    Im on Vista x64 too

Yea I guess nvidia hates my TV, even though its hooked up through the second DVI output. Piece of crap.
