    Hello there,

Today I had a little bug in CoD5 (certain objects turning yellow) so thought I would do best to update my graphics card drivers. So I did, from 177.79 to the latest 180.48. After the installation I rebooted and after the windows loading screen my pc crashed. Gave me a blue screen + some text on it, dissappeared within 2 seconds and my pc restarted. Went to safe mode to delete them and everything worked fine again. Are the latest drivers bugged or something?

    Hi

Its possible they may cause issue on some PCs and with specific software, as you'll find many will install these drivers OK and have no issues but some likel yourself may have issues.

What I would suggest is if the game is still experiencing this object anomalies that you could do the following.

First is an easy one to test as in the Nvidia Control Panel in 3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings are options to tailor the settinsg of the Nvidia driver to a game, and many of the COD version are listed, try that and see if the specific best game settings work to remove this glitch.

Or fully uninstall the current driver from Device Manager and then run this tool or this one DC Pro to remove any other left over files from previous driver, reboot and then install the latest one again and see if that cures this.

Could also try the previous driver in the 178.24s to see if that fixes your graphical issue

    Thanks mate!

The first one did not work, the 2nd one worked perfectly. Uninstalled the my current drivers, reboot. After that I deleted every other file found by the programm. Rebooted again and installed the drivers 180.48 and rebooted for the last time and tada, no blue screen!

And the best part, CoD5 works like a charm now, many thanks!

    Hi

No probs, glad it worked, just at times old components of previous driver can be left causing issues like this.
