nVidia Drivers cant find card...

I got myself a second hand GTX460 card and installed it in the machine.
Windows XP recognises it (found new hardware) but I don't have the drivers. I go to nVidia website, download the Java applet as directed, then try the automatic detection thing which can't find the card (Hardware not present in your system). I then do the manual option, download the driver, and same result. I've downloaded three different drivers (3.22, 3.14, 2.87) same result. Thinking it's the card, I return it and get a GTX560TI and do the same thing, with the same results. I google the stuff and the only thing I found was to re-install the Java app, which I did, but to no avail.
I know the card is getting power because the are two small red LED lights in operation on the card itself. The question is what am I doing wrong? Is there another cable I should be connecting other than a SLI which I don't have or need? Should I be disabling the existing on-board graphics processor? I'm running a Pentium D/core CPU at 2.93gHz with 4gb ram on an Asus MoBo P5G41C-M LX.

 

Forget about using any type of seek and find apps, especially java. If the OS found the correct drivers, then do not worry about finding others. If they are out of date, just go to the website for the manufacturer of the chipset, download the latest drivers for your OS, then go to Device Manger, right click on the device, click on "Update driver", then choose that you have the driver, go to the directory that they are in after you unzip (usually the Download folder), and let the OS install the updated drivers.

No need to make it harder than it actually is.
