1 month ago before i got my new pc I had that exact same card from gainward and it worked perfectly for me.
Out of interest, how much did it cost you?
You said when you start up it says 64mb onboard memory, this means its sharing it with your system ram, which basically decreases the graphics cards performance and can cause problems when causing games...like its doing with you.
Are you sure you bought the right version/put it into the correct slot on your motherboard? Mine used agp 4x.
You've probably already checked that so another thing you could try is look around in your mb bios settings and try and find some onboard graphics sharing options. If possilble try and disable it/lower it so that the card is using its own separate memory.
Im not sure about this but maybe theres an onboard geforce 2 which you might have bought as opposed to an actual graphics card.
I dont quiet understand how theres only 6mb of graphics memory if 64 of its shared?

First off, the video card is not sharing system RAM.

Now, a Geforce 2 MX 400 is probably one of the worst cards you can get today for playing games. And, with your system, I'm not surprised that you can't play Fifa 2005. What other games are you trying to play? If it's like Half-Life 2, Far Cry, Doom3, etc. you might as well start saving up for a new card. And try to take that one back.

Geforce 2? quite some money? Gee, you can buy a Geforce 4 MX 440 for 20$ on tigerdirect and it is quite outdated too. Maybe you forgot to say you bought the card a while ago? :D
