Nvidia graphics power pop-up - help

Well this a first in the 6 months of this new machine I built - with the help of a friend.

""..NVIDIA System Sentinel is
reporting that the NVIDIA-powered graphics card is not receiving sufficient
power".

I'm still not 100% competent enough with the insides of computers, so I guess I'll have to take this to my buddy.
But is there a program or a way (through Windows XP pro) to check how much power my PSU is handling at the moment?

I didn't overclock or anything, this is straight out of the box, 6800GS video card.

it sounds like the PSU in your pc may not be strong enough to handle the video card. May need a stronger PSU

 

That's very weird considering I have an EnerMax 500W PSU.
I did my homework before buying my stuff and this PSU was apparently great and more than I needed.
It's been less than a year, maybe I should contact them...(warranty)?

 

I thank you should contact them. A 500 watt PSU it should handle it just fine. Maybe smothing went bad in the PSU.

 

Definitely going to, but what's also odd is, I JUST reinstalled http://www.novalogic.com/games.asp, which ran fine on my Athlon 2800 XP.
Now I'm running a dual-core AMD, with 2gigs of RAM and as stated a 6800GS video card.
All which are more than sufficient.
Maybe something in the game drivers that just messed things up?
But I will be contacting EnerMax for sure.

The game requirements are:
Processorentium III 733 MHz or Higher
Video Card: 32 MB Video Card
Hard Drive: 750 MB
CD-ROM:4X
RAM:256 MB

 

Hummm thats really odd. Contact EnerMax they should be able to help you solve the problem. Hope you get it fixted
