Alright, i've got an nforce 680i sli motherboard and it's supposed to have the option of combining both of the 1g ethernet ports into a single effective 2g ethernet port. however, there's no option under the nvidia control panel to enable this feature. i've looked on the nvidia help forums but they've been no help, does anyone know how this can be resolved. Im using 64-bit win 7 ultimate.

I havn't found any infomation to suggest that you could use them together as a 2G Ethernet port, just that there are two gigabit ethernet ports.

    I could be wrong though.

I found this on another site:
"You simply hook up both connections to a switch and in the CP (Control panel) enable Network Teaming, which binds the two NIC's as one."

This site was doing a review of an EVGA nForce 680i-SLI mobo dated 3/2007:

That is where I got the above snipit. The screen shots looked like Vista so from what I read you have to connect both ports to a switch or 2 ports on a router and in the Control Panel (under networking I'm assuming, it didn't specify) you enable Network teaming.
