Would some one please tell me the simplest way to determine whether my AMD A64 Venice core 3200+ CPU uses AMD's NX buffer overflow protection?

It is built into the CPU and has to have support from whatever operating system you are using. Starting with service pack 2 in XP it's in Windows. It's not foolproof in stopping overflows but it helps.

Thanks for the answer. I wanted to know so that I could tell whether or not I should use use /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN as an OS Load Option after using BOOTCFG /REBUILD from the Windows Recovery Panel. I did.

Unfortunately, the boot rebuild did not solve my problem...:(

What is your problem? Malware keeps coming back?
