O&O Defrag (All versions) service/application start error

Hi, MG.
I installed O&O Defrag Pro 11.5.4065 x64 some months ago on my Asus Laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate x64. A few weeks ago, I restarted my computer (I do so very rarely since I always have something running) and when I logged on, the O&O Defrag tray icon had the red X sub-icon (hibernation mode).
Exiting hibernation mode in the context menu was the first thing I tried, but I received no response. I then double-clicked it to open O&O Defrag. As soon as the GUI loads, I get the error "Network error or warning. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it(10061)".
I look this up online and it has to do with the O&O Service or my firewall. My firewall has O&O Defrag allowed through it, but is actually turned off completely. As for the service, I tried to start it and the "Starting Service" dialog pops up for a second, the I get the error message "Windows could not start the service because it did not respond in a timely fashion."
So I updated to 12.5.3396. Same errors.
I went to the install directory, set all applications to run as administrator.
Nothing.
Set them all to run in various compatibility modes.
Nothing.
Uninstalled, cleaned Temp and Junk, Reinstalled...
Nothing.
According to another site I searched, it may have to do with dependencies on the Windows OS, for example my Visual Studio 2010 resources may be conflicting with the resources O&O is attempting to access.
Though this is just a speculation, the possibility that O&O Defrag runs mostly on Windows resources seems rather plausible.
I am using AdvancedDefrag for them moment, but I simply love O&O and would really like to get it back up and running, so any help is appreciated.

 

It might be worth an email to O&O support, mentioning all the problems you've had.
