I'd be certain anyone viewing this forum has probably built a box or two? Over the last 6 years or so I have put together, torn apart, and reassembled approximately 15 systems and have ended up with all sorts of Windows operating systems. Unfortunately, there are about 6 Windows 2000 Disks, and at least that many Windows XP's and I don't have the foggiest as to what disk goes with which "Box".
Microsoft always provides me with a secondary key when I screw up, but they won't tell me where or how to find out which disk I actaully used on a specific system. Does anyone know how to match your computer with the O/S key you may have used?????

I assume the XP and Win2000 cd caes have the key on them?
    I would try matt.chuggs Keyfinder Thing 3

    BladesOfHalo,

Thanks a bunch!!! I too read further on up the road and came to the same conclusion you did. I've just downloaded both of them, and based on his description, I think it's going to work. This has been a pain in my **** for some time. You'd think that it would be a one button poke, but that would be too easy!!!! Thanks Again

The "non-lite" version failed to operate, however, the "lite" version was perfect!!! Hit the executable and it spits out the key IMMEDIATELY!!!!

Exactly what I was looking for,and will never have to call MS again

Er yup. the full version requires .net 2.0, you probably got an initialization error, that why I wrote the lite version!

@bladesofhalo, its seems a lot more people that I had initially expected don't have.net 2.0, The lite version is far more up to date than the full version so its probably best to link to that one instead of the full one.

@mrchom02 Glad it worked for you, feel free to IM me if you have something you'd like supported in there.
