Obsessively Searching For Old Great Screensaver

    I think it came with Win98 or WinME, or some "Plus!" expansion of those, and would make a swirling/twisting effect _over_ the desktop and bounce around, giving an effect a bit like this:-

    So it wasn't its own sequence, it would actually render over whatever was on the screen at the time the screensaver kicks in, and warp whatever is under that. I remember it was bundled with a lens effect version also, that would create like a fisheye bubble effect.

    Anyway, if anyone knows what I'm talking about and can help me try to track this down again, I'd really appreciate that! :)

    Turns out it was the "Science" screensavers from the Microsoft Plus! expansion for Windows 98. The bad news is, even if I could find them again, they are 16-bit binaries so they won't work on my systems anyway...
    It's a shame because they were cool and still would be. Some larger DirectX powered alternative would be awesome but I don't anyone made one.
