    does anyone know how to disable the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) in Adobe Acrobat any version abover 7? because in reader 7 the OCR isn't there which i like but in any version above 7 it's there and it will try and get characters that it thinks are correct and fix them automatically i want to know how to disable that feature so that i can still get my symbols that i am trying to view

    i was able to find a work around for now.... install the older version and print it off and scan it back it seemed to keep all the special characters that i needed it to
