Odd auto-run problem with Drive C

I put a file (setup.exe) in drive C:\ and now anytime I try opening drive C:\ it runs the setup.exe... If I rename the setup file, it won't work. If I relocate it, it won't work. And if I take the setup file out of Drive C:\ it can't find it. The only way I can get in drive c is by right clicking and hitting explore. I believe Drive C:\ is trying to autorun itself o.x...

Can somebody tell me how to fix this?

I tried disabling "autoplay" on dirve C:\ to no success.... Any other suggestions? This is getting so annoying >_<

 

make sure there is no autorun.ini in the root of C

 

Err, edit:

If i remove autorun.ini nothing happens, it still goes to open setup.exe.

If I remove setup.exe and autorun: it says, "windows cannot find setup.exe"

What do I do?

Edit: Nevermind... I had to restart for it to take effect. Thanks for the help!

 

There mayaslo be an auotrun.inf there, just an FYI if it ever comes back
