Odd Behaviour of Wordpad !

Good Morning,
I typed a bunch of info on a Floppy Disk, via Wordpad in our Win 98 computer,and out of no where,I can't open it on my Win XP Pro computer! I get this message...(Can Not Load Word For Windows 6.0 Files)What gives,this is a recent occurence! Anyone have a way to correct this?Thanks.

When using the Windows 98 operating system, WordPad (by default) saves documents in the Word for Windows 6.0 .doc format. If you consequently open that same Word for Windows 6.0 file on a Windows XP computer, you can receive the "Can not load Word for Windows 6.0 files" error message...

In any case, check this webpage for a "quick fix" to your problem:

After implementing the suggested fix; in the future you should be able to open any Win 98 generated "Word for Windows 6.0 files" in WordPad (while using Win XP).
