Odd problem

Ok. this might be a bit hard to explain so bear with me.

I got back from my friends this weekend only to notice that my winamp, AIM and google / gmail is well. not working the way it used to.

My winamp playlist window seems like its lagging out. I'll bring up winamp. but the contents of the playlist wont display. it just acts as if it was lagging out horribly. Same with AIM. Except aim is a bit different. at the top it has like. the group name. then it has a yellow bar that extends a long way down the list. then the other groups. but wont show the people's actual names. or even display anything besides groups and weird boxes with yellow in it.

My gmail / google is weird too. The links are small unless it hits a keyword. then its normal text. I know all about the text sizing option. larger. smaller. normal. all that. that isn't the issue. and i dont know why the smaller text

Making a new one is not pointless if you are still trying to fix things.
Tried system restore?
Another option would be to interrogate your friend to see what he done to it.

 

I tried that just a min ago. still isnt working.
and my friend swears he did nothing except watch anime and play cs...
somehow i dont believe him but i dont know.

 

The mystery has been Solved.

This is what happens when your font's get corrupt.
all of my Arial fonts we're messed. in turn causing anything that used the arial font to not show up.

So if you have this problem in the furture. Hopefully it'll be easily fixed
