Odd Startup screen

OK, this is not a major issue, just aggrivating. I'm getting the following screen on startup on the first thumbnail. The second thumbnail is what it should look like.

The startup folder is empty.

 

These 4 methods can repair and/or replace missing/damaged files. Running them all wont hurt:

It's not missing icons, nor are any files correpted that I know of. I'm borrowing this computer from my kid, it has done it for several years. There are no other symptoms, just that odd startup screen upon power up.

I have some reading on the KB entries though.

 

Does it happen in Safe Mode?

If not, does it heppen when you do this?

Busy with classes these days.

 

Safe mode is a normal bootup, as normal as safemode gets at least, no odd screens. Now for the next test...

I knew you were working on chemistry, still working on it?

 

OK, screen came up in clean start. I loaded a new administrator account, it boots straight into my main account (the one with Masonic Logo).

I did this because several services denied access to be shut down. If it is important I'll capture them with a screen shot and post them.

Any ideas?
