odd things just coincidence or???

Hi all.
A couple of small things have occurred at a time when I am starting a new venture that would be of interest to my enemy. [ i mentioned the enemy in posts I made long ago] So of course this caused arousal of my formerly quiescent paranoia. So here's what happened this am. I went to connect my always trusty well running computer to my always trusty isp. I connected ok, but the accelerator which always connects fast, sent a message saying it couldn't connect because It couldn't verify my name and password, which it would have gotten when I connected. Then I went to some well used websites and had problems after the first click on them, getting to various parts of them that usually come up with no problem.All of this was quickly remedied when I tried again, but it is almost like it is going slower because someone else is tuning in. Paranoidly, I do wonder if I need to run a diagnostic to see if someone is tracking me, etc? If so, what software would I use to do this, have never done it before. Thanks for your help.
