OE 6 export

First: I did do a search in both the download section, and the message section to find an answer before posting a new thread.

I am looking for a way to mass export my email messages from OE 6 (Express, not Outlook).

I did the file ... export ... messages thing, and I'm not sure what went where - but it didn't seem to save each email as an individual *.eml file (which is what I want to do)

I know I can back up the database (dbx) files, but I wanted to clean out everything to email files (eml).

any suggestions?

 

You could select all the mails in Outlook Express and then drag them to a file folder in explorer.
This will save the selected mails as individual eml files. (Or atleast it happens in OE5)
Though it can be cumbersome if you have divided your email in many OE-folders

 

gall - dang snake, I didn't know you could do that. Not bad at all. Don't know why I never tried that.
