off topic....lol....dumb luck

Let me start out by saying I've been using this site for sometime but new as a member. I have 2 short stories to share ...I'm sure someone will get a smile out of or know someone like me.... : )
In the beging of the year Dave(my b/f) my 3 kids and I were fishing outback of where we live. 2 Kids are playing and 1 is fishing.....Dave is getting more bait and me just messing around cause I'm getting bored. So me and my wisdom put a pepperroni pizza flavored combo on a size 8,barbless,no steel leader hook ( yes... no lie). With nothing better to do but watch them "guys" catch everything, I cast out a few and low and behold I had something chasing my combo...so I kept doing it for awhile. I have never in my life caught 1 of those bad boys...they give me the willies...IT was close to a foot n half jackpike...... : )
Next is shorter yet. Went to bed early due to puter rage. Wake back up and Dave is trying to get a program instaled and has was trying the whole time I was asleep(@4 hours). I come in not even 5 minutes and have the program up and running. (and hes more a geek then I am..lmao!!)

I read you original post, I was expecting geek related stories. But, after thinking about it, they were quite geek related.

Who but a geek would think of a combo for bate? [I think gernades, instead of combos]
Who but a geek would think that a simple resolution to a problem is the best answer? (I fail this one all the time. ) [I think of modifying the registry, instead of easier methods]

Many a time, I have worked hours on a stubborn 'puter problem, only to go to bed, and get up in the morning, and solve the problem within minutes. I just tell myself "Another Mr. MaGoo moment", <*sigh!>.

Re: Lev:- You aint old. I think I can safely say, I fall into the "older than dirt", category. Oh well, with age, comes wisdom...right??

 

Any fish taste great seasoned, deep fred, beer batter with some fries on the side.....did I mention use real beer for the batter......but anyway I cant tell you what pike taste like ive never had it. And as far as it being similar to something I can say looks wise a torpedo in water do ya?! All a jackpike is a almost full grown pike.
And inreguards to Fool....Im 1 of those regedit happy ppl too, thats where i found his problem.... : )
