Office 2007 Configuration wizard runs every time I start any Application (word, excel, etc)
This takes about 4 to 5 minutes then the chosen program appears.

Can anybody help, I have tried all of the fixes I could find on the net to no avail.

Hi Halo
I am running XP I am not sure of the bit
I installed Enterprise
At first it was fine but after 6 weeks it started the problem
I had Office 2003 loaded and updated it
It happens with both Admin and my account
I took all the steps in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911682
I changed all accounts to give them Admin rights, no change
The problem is intermittent, Word and Excel will load fine 2 or 3 times but then the configuration wizard will pop up.
It also happens 1 out of 3 times when I want to view a PPS
I have also tried the followiing fixes
Copy and paste each line once in run box and click ok ,
this may resolve the problem in limited windows user account .

• I found a partial solution: If I rename the file SETUP.EXE in %program files%\common files\microsoft shared\office12\Office Setup Controller, the problem disapear, but I don't like this solution because I think sometimes Office 2007 could need to be repaired and this file is important to do that.

Finally, I download the CCLEANER utility, and I fix all errors it found (I check 3 times I fix everty time the errors it found).


Nothing made any difference
