Office 2007 Question

When I open an email attachment that is a Microsoft Word document, it opens up in Powerpoint. If I save it, open Word and then open the document it opens correctly. How do I fix this? Thanks

 

What operating system are you using? What do you use for email?

You need to change a file association in Windows Explorer. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307859 for instructions on how to do this.

 

I am still having the problem of file saving. the files are duplicating in other libraries and on the computer OS Drive. any advice please.

 

I am sorry, I didn't realize I was in a different thread. I was trying to find a solution for my problemI am having with my windows 7 software that I posted on March 26, 2014. I have not found a solution to the problem as of yet and I was looking to see if there was a solution.

I guess you can tell I am flustered with this problem. I meant Feb. 26,2014 under "software." I apologize, I am a senior citizen.
