    Computer: Dell i7-6700 8G RAM

    OS: Windows 10

Software: MS Office 2010 installed via Product Key download

Issues: When I click on Office files (Word, XL, PP) to open them, the computer attempts to open these files using the newest version of Office (365?) and wants me to open an account. I refuse again and again ad nuaseum. So, I uninstalled the newer version of Office hoping to clear this annoyance. Now, my Office 2010 won't work.

I download the 'Office_Pro_2010_TechG_English_x64' file and attempt to repair or re-install Office 2010.

When I try 'repair', the Configuration Progress gets stuck on 'Setup cannot find Office.en-us\dwdcw20.dll. Browse to a valid installation source, then click OK.'

When I enter the product key, the Configuration Progress gets stuck on 'Setup cannot find SingleImage.WW \pkeyconfig-office.xrm-ms. Browse to a valid installation source, then click OK.'

I search for these files and they are not to be found.

Please let me know your suggestions.

Looks like that isn't the same version you purchased. It's your original downloaded installation file you need.

    Unhide all files and folders.
At the root of your C drive there should be a folder named MSOCache.
Look for the setup file in it.
