Office xp pro help!!

I have an issue in my ms word program, it was fine when I installed it but recently while working on a document, the hourglass keeps popping up and it locks up for a few seconds, and it does this every 10-15 seconds! then sometimes it shuts itself down...ack is this a bug or worm???

Look under "Help" and run the Detect and Repair feature.

Quicky question do you have Norton Internet Security or Norton Antivirus installed?

Just try this and see if it makes any difference as Norton's Office Plugin can be a pain in the butt,

use the Disable Norton AntiVirus Office plug-in instructions ( Method 2 )

Thanks, those instructions are for all other versions but mine, Norton Antivirus 2005. Any suggestions?

Should be same location as they dont change much version to version apart from the version year number,
