Office XP Specialized menus how do I get rid of them. In other words I want everything to appear when I click on File and not just the last few things I used. I used to have a registry hack for it but I seem to have lost it.

open the start menu. then right-click on the bottom of the bar next to where it says log off or turn off. after right clicking the properties option will show up. click it. then when it comes up in a new window there will be a button that says customize. click that button and it will open another window. in that window you can choose how many programs you want to show in your start menu. hope that anwsers your question.

In an Office application Right click on the area right next to where the menu options are. Click customized.
a dialog box will appear goto the options tab and click the check box that says always show full menus. then click the button that says reset menu and toolbar usage data. then click close. and this should take effect in all office apps if not, repeat in each app.
