Oh. Crap.

Ugggh...broke my Zune's screen today...I went bowling, and I forgot it was in my pocket, and somehow the bowling ball hit it, and the screen broke...

Question is, how am I gonna replace the screen? I bought the Zune off of Buy.com (it was a steal at $100 new), and I don't think that I got a extended warranty with it (90 day warranty is long gone, I bought it in November of last year)...Is there any websites that replace the screen for you? If so, which are the best ones?

The most disappointing thing about this, though, is that I almost had enough money saved up to get a sweet new graphics card, and now I have to spend it on a replacement Zune screen...oh well...

Please respond quickly! I really want to get my Zune fixed.

 

It should still come with a standard 1 year manufacturers warranty. Try contacting the retailer or the manufacturer directly.

 

huh. (according to the microsquash tech support person I talked to) apparently less than 1% of the people that own zunes contact support for cracked screens and thus breaking the screen in any way immediately voids that 1 year warranty...after explaining this to me, the tech person said that "I'm not supposed to tell you this, but there are several online websites where you send in your broken zune and they fix it for you for a fee. just go to google and type 'zune repair online'." i told him that i already knew that, and that was my other option...

so, i found one website that replaces the screen for about $97. seeing that i bought the zune (new) for $100, is there any other website that fixes it for cheaper?
