Ok, MAJOR help needed with windows

    I have been using my computer for about 5 months now and everything has been extremely fine. But now, for some reason i can't log on to my computer!!! The Windows XP welcome screen comes up like usual. Then it has the logon screen. I put in my password. It says, like usual: Loggin In... Loading personal settings, then it shows my desktop for a brief millisecond, and then the welcome screen again saying, Logging Off!!! Wut's the problem? How do i fix this? I REALLY don't want to reinstall my whole computer, because i can't backup my files now!! I've tried starting up in Safe Mode, but that didn't work. Please help me people!

    Sounds like a problem with the user account --- can you log in as administrator?

    Sounds like a typical case of bubba.wintools screwing the user account, and windows in general. This thing is a thorn in our side over at MS support.

    If CP's suggestion doesn't work in either mode of Windows, I would try
