ok mkv files

    Im not sure but a buddie gave me a cd with a few movie files on it, and its telling me that they are mkv files....sooooooooo how do I watch them and stuff because these are video files that he got and I wanna watch them, heh.

    They are matroska video files. Basically you need to install the codec to allow you to play them. Google will let you find the individual codec, or you could install a newer codec pack, such as here:
