Need a registry defragmenter a good one thanks in advance

For years I used the O&O Defrag 2000 v3.5.562 freeware version because it worked well for me on pre-XP computers. All of the defraggers that came with pre-XP Windows operating systems stunk to high heaven. They also took forever to accomplish the full defragmentation process [even if you performed a defrag regularly].

However the other day [in this forum] I found out about the Diskeeper Lite 7.0 Freeware Build 418 and installed it; and there is "no turning back" because it is very compatible with XP and works much faster then O & O Defrag 2000 as well as the somewhat "pared-down" version of Diskeeper 6 that actually came with XP.

Unfortunately those are drive defragmenters and what he asked for is a registry defragmenter. This will do the job: http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/PageDefrag.html

 

EasyCleaner is a good one and PageDefrag is also here. One defrag the pagefiling system and registry hive but EasyCleaner will search out obsolete reg entries and give the option for removal. Your Uninstaller! 2006 (free 21 day trial) will uninstall apps (using their uninstaller) but also clean of the reg (wh normal uninstallers don't do) and thus keeps the reg very trim and tight.

This is what I have used for a couple years and although it's not FREE...it's NOT expensive and I trust this program 100%
