OK real dumb ?

Ive been infected with ISM and Purity Scan so I downloaded a couple of the products you all recommended. I run them and it tells me that some items couldnt be removed and to either remove them manually or start system in Safe Mode and remove them. How do I powerup in safe mode and will I completely mess up if I try to manually remove these files ( Im a paramedic not an IT man ). The files are dLL files I believe. Also has anyone ever repaired anothers system using something like PC anywhere or Net Meeting?

 

Most PC's are brought to a screen asking you what mode you want to start in, by pushing F8. Just keep tapping it as your PC restarts. ''Manually'' means going to where the files are located and then deleting them.
