Old digi camera, says software won't work with anything...

...other than Windows '98. Now, I have Windows XP on all my comps, is there any way I could possibly upgrade the software or something? It's a Polaroid, not sure the model, I'll get that up here later, but any help until then would be appreciated.

 

Windows xp does have a compatability feature that allows you to run old (98-me) software .Not sur wether this will work when it comes to camera software thoooo

What about a PDC640?

 

You can use the software with windows XP. just go to Start > Accessories > Program Compatibility Wizard. Follow the instructions and your software will work, I think.

You might try looking for updates here, http://www.polaroid.com/service/software/index.html

Try right-clicking the setup file itself, then Properties, then Compatibility.

If 98 doesn't work, try NT or another operating system and settings.

Then do the same with the files that are installed.

There is also the Application Compatibility Toolkit on your Windows CD, or it can be downloaded from Micro$$oft, however, it's not a simple solution.
