This is similar to an question I asked recently on installing WIN 98SE on a system already running WIN XP Pro. The answer to that question was more work than I wanted to go through.

When I bought my first computer in February, 1998, I bought a copy of the strategic card game 'Magic:the Gathering' along with it. I was running Win 98SE with a Cyrix 586 CPU and 24 MB of RAM at the time.

Now that I'm running Win XP Pro with a AMD Athlon 2400+ CPU, I cannot even get Magic to install. When I want to play Magic I have to use the family room computer where I have a computer running on Win 98SE with a Celeron 566 MHz CPU. It would be sooo much more convenient if I could play on the computer in my room.

Can somebody give me some suggestions on how I can run Magic on my primary computer? I've already tried the simplistic "Set Compatibility Mode" option on file properties menu without luck. I don't want to reformat and reinstall everything on my primary computer, so that I can install Win 98SE first and Win XP Pro 2nd. The problem with that is I also have to reinstall more than 150 apps; reinstalling the OS's is the easy part.

I do have the two computers networked. I really don't understand anything about networking. Filesharing is one thing, but getting the secondary computer to run an app, send output to the primary computer and receive input from the primary computer is several orders of magnitude in scope beyond my knowledge of home networks.

I want to thank everybody in advance for your time.
