old hd

i got a hd that i found in a box of computer parts i dont know anything about it except that it is a seagate , would it hurt my system to hook it up as a slave to see if it works or ifanything is on it ?

 

it should be fine. why don't you look up the model number on the internet? it should come up with something. and do tell us what it is

 

looked up model nuber it turned out to be a 1.3gb so i didnt think it was worth doing anything else with it

 

it could be a great paperweight

 

u could store mp3 on it.

 

You could open it up and look inside.

 

Yeah, personally I use one of the platters on my old and dead hd as a mirrors and im thinking about hanging one on the mirror in my car. What do you think?

 

My old 3Gb drive I leave on the floor with a hammer next to it. When my wife gets mad a computer she smacks the old hard drive a few times. Not had so many problems to fix since. LOL

 

hahaha. thats good doc. I would maybe use it for text files and word docs. or donate it to a local school. make sure to clean it.
