Old KDS RAD-7C.. PSU dead?

i have a old KDS Radius RAD-7c and i wanted to know what i would experience if the power supply were to start acting up.

the problems im having right now with it are when i pulg it in sometimes it wont turn on and when it does turn on the no signal box is displayed missing parts and then it cuts off and i have to unplug and plug it back in. is this the type of thing that a bad power supply would cause? I HOPE IT IS cause i can get a new one

 

could someone please just give me a educated guess at least if no one will ever answer my posts?

 

I have never seen a missings parts message, this is a very hard problem to figure out online. Could it be the power supply? YES. What problems did you encounter before this one, any restarts on its own? anything acting crazy? Was there a lightning storm before this happened?. ed
