    Hey guys. :)

I have this old laptop that i found in my attic. My dad must of stored it there and forgot about it. Its a Toshiba Protege 7200 cTe. I want to know if i am able to upgrade any of the things on the computer. I don't have a laptop and my PC is pretty much shit. I just wanna use the laptop for Warcraft or Counter Strike. So can you guys help me out? I want to know if i am able to upgrade the RAM or CPU speed or Video Memory or anything else.

    Thanks guys~! :)

I expect the only upgrades would be RAM and OS. Go to Toshiba website or the user manual and find the max RAM the laptop can handle. Or go to an online vendor that sells RAM and they will tell you how much the laptop can handle. Upgrade the RAM and the maybe the OS. Toshiba indicates the laptop shipped with 2000 PRO. That dosen't need to be updated but XP is better. XP boots faster and is more robust.

I don't think you can upgrade the CPU or the video RAM.

Not unless you buy a new notebook, or spend considerable amounts of money carrying it to a shop to replace the motherboard! :)

This will give you all the details of your laptop specifications. Check out CPU and CPU ID and let us know. There maybe a pin compatible CPU upgrade. As for video cards, I can't help you.

    Easy, man!
If that baby will boot, it is NOT a piece of crap, but a wonderful piece of technology.
Remember, one man's trash is another man's treasure. To someone (maybe you, in the future) who was learning to write code and stuff, maybe even if its just tagging up web pages, could put an OS on there, and it would be MORE than ample horsepower for development uses.

Yeah, just because a machine won't run games, don't be too letdown, you know, it may fetch a good price, too!

Ebay has three for sale, 500mhz & 600mhz 128mb ram, they were something like $289 & $389, the more expensive one had case, IO port, and scanner or something.
    The price's were High IMO.

Post it here maybe someone would but it:
