old time baseball

Old time baseball...gotta love it. Last night, during the Yankees rout of the Tigers...Alex Rodriguez was hit in the thigh by a Tiger pitcher, after he`d hit two home runs. Next inning...Paul Quantrill of the Yankees threw a pitch behind a Tiger batter. The very next pitch he hit the same guy right between the shoulder blades with a fastball. Retaliation, to be sure, and perhaps a bit dangerous. The refreshing thing about it was not only Quantrill retaliating...but the fact that the benches didn`t empty, and a brawl ensuing. This is old time baseball...you hit my man I`ll hit yours. And some inner city-thug turned baseball player didn`t charge the mound. Gotta love it.

 

Yup, that's the way baseball is supposed to be.

Jeter is one of the best shortstops in baseball...and a proven winner...but it`s still amazing when you see a play like that...no matter who it is

 

That was definitely talent, concentration, and athletic ability. He is good.
