I am looking to purchase a super-cheap used laptop to use pretty much as a backup. Does anyone have any suggestions? What is the least expensive (yet reliable) model I can get away with that will hook up to a wireless internet connection? I want to spend as little as possible as it won't be used often. Sorry if this is the wrong forum, guys! I'm (obviously) a newbie.:)

The min issue is more an OS one.

You need to find a Laptop that is at least Pentuim II 300 and 196 MB od meory.

Such a laptop can run Win2000 Pro (and even Win XP, but it would be Slowwww).

Any laptop less from the above would need to run Win98, and would have an old PCMCIA bus, thus might be a problem with Wireless.

    :D
