OMG windows does it again!

As usual one of my mates has asked me to fix his computer.... this happens on a regular basis, hoever this time, I have a problem... when I put XP pro in and boot from it (Because if boot from HDD it blue screens) it crashes and locks up when it get's to 'setup is starting Windows' down in the bottom left corner on the status bar, any help A.S.A.P. would be great thanks, coz he needs it for TAFE.

hardware is fine.

 

Any idea how your friend crashed it?Any error message?

 

Unlikely, if you can't boot to setup on the CD.

Give the hardware specs.

 

It came good, it unfroze 3 and a half hours after sitting there loading, that's how ****ed the computer was.
