OMGOSH...mobo fried?

    so i just finished building a computer, with previous mobo problems. finished it up today, starts and runs w/o monitor (just a test) so i take it, plug in power supply, xbox turns off and has red rings, maybe a power surge. Then i go to power up cpu, nothing...i swapped power supplies and the asus mobo green light doesnt even turn on. mobo fried? i guess i'll have to return it tomorrow, but all that work down the drain?
