On Screen Magnifier Is Giving Me A Lot Of Trouble

It has recenltly been causing huge amounts of unnecessary lag whenever i use it and sinc ei kind of need to use something like it i do not have much choice.

Are there any free third party magnifiers that give fullscreen magnification like the built in onscreen magnifier does i really do not feel like paying to replace a program microsoft should've gotten right. I mean how hard is it to et an onscreen magnifier to work properly on windows 10 anyways.

Seems like QA isn't microsofts first priority these days and if it is they aren't doing a very good job of it.

 

I checked the Magnifier in Windows 7 and there's zero lag. Considering I have a PC with mediocre hardware, you should investigate why you have lag.

the onscreen magnifier has been like this since the upgrade to win 10 it was fine prior to this I bet microsoft shoddily implemented it. I already tried looking into it and I did turn off bitmap smoothing as it was touted to cause lag and it did fix a lot of the lag issues but only temporarily since it is now arguably even worse than before. since every other action i take now cause small moments of lag.

 

Hopefully a Windows 10 user can offer more help.

do any of these work in a fullscreen capacity as in it takes up the whole screen? Also i need to be able to interact with stuff while it is on the very first one on the list turns itself off if you click . It seems like every alternative i sem to try is inferior to onscreen magnifier at least in terms of what i need. I don't really need a whole lot of features.

funny considering how barebones it is compared to onscreen keyboard. Just a magnifier and it turns off with a click also none of the free alternatives have a fullscreen option

 

well i finally fixed the lag issue and didn't need to do anything to onscreen magnifier.

apparently it was the butler the entire time, and by butler i really mean the onscreen keyboard. apparently turning off onscreen keyboard fixed the issue of lag.

I really do not even wanna know why all i know is a couple of my games were running really slow and onscreen keyboard kept annoying me by constantly popping up while i was trying to fix the issueuntil i had had it with that so ended up disabling it and the games started running smoothly.

I REALLY do not understand how onscreen keyboard was causing that much lag. Nor do i want to know how it was causing so much trouble at least when in conjunction with the magnifier, all i know is it was causing some kind of problems.

Well technically all i really know for sure is that the onscreen keyboard was behind the lag in the games i was playing. I'm not 100% certain it was the culprit behind onscreen magnifiers lag but i might as well add that on it's list of "crimes" so to speak since it was causing problems with completely unrelated programs. Unless magnifier starts causing lag again i won't have any reason not to believe it was onscreen keyboard.

 

Well the lag is back and now it is tied to chrome. What am i even dealing with here a bug or some kind of sentient ai program here? Seriously can't this problem jump to a program i don't use or need? Granted google chrome is not a program i use as much as magnifier but still i tend to use it quite frequently especially when going to sites that may require some translation.

It seems everytime i fix a problem another one props up somewhere else i'm even getting frequent 504 eros on both chrome and comodo dragon, and firfox is giving a few 520's here and there.

This problem even affected some of my games and bottlenecked the speed. If the next os microsoft craps out is even half as problematic as this one i'm probably going to switch to a linux. Bill gates should seriously take back the reins of his company cuz whoever's in charge isn't doing a very good job of quality assurance here.
