On the wheels of Steel

Heheh.. well sort of.

So, I am going to be working tonight as a DJ for a fund raiser and finally get a chance to play with Virtual DJ. Nice little program, I still haven't figured out most of it yet, but I know how to mix songs and even do a few remixes with it. I can set up a playlist in case I need to potty, and it works pretty smoothly.

This is going to be pretty cool though. Add one more thing to my list of skillz and abilities... I can DJ.. LOL

Just wondering if anyone else around here does that kind of thing and if anyone still uses the wheels of steel and vinyl to DJ with.

I remember watching DJ's with vinyl back in the day, and that was some skill... I just load the song to the deck, click sync and then click automix. Not a lot of skill to that, but that is just for playing long batches of music.

The skill comes into play when I do a techno remix of Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera.. that was hot. I also did some Cat Stevens remixing last night... Cat's in the Cradle as a techno remix... hehehe. And I was sober too.

Anyways... see who else has thoughts/ideas on the subject.
