One-Two Boot? Restart?

I as givin a computer a couple of days ago the has a U8668D v5.0 Biostar? Mb. I know it was working when i got it cause my buddy showed me it booting up fine to Xp with no problem. We even used it for a few hours . We turned it off a couple of times to get lunch and stuff. But now when i try to boot it up i have to press restart for it to boot to a screen and XP? I can restart it from windows fine but shuting it down completely and restarting it ...gotta hit restartor reset...whatever you call it? But at first it wouldn't so anything at all till i let it start up and walked away for 20 mins then hit reset/restart for the heck of it???? NOW i had a working 2.6 478 cpu that i thought would just drop in and go..sorta..but now it won't do anything??no beeps..nothing?not even with restart pressed. I did get into the bios once to try to reset the something configuration and USB support on startup cause al i have is a USB key/mouse. Any thoughts? suggestions? hammers!!! Baseball bats?? I tried to put the 2.0 back in but still nothing? Cleared the Cmos again. made sure the CPU was seated properly, made sure everything was seated tightly,still nothing. Well, it did post for a sec saying searching for drives but never went anywhere after 20 mns? I guess it's a dead MB:cry confused ***

 

I am having this exact same problem, did you ever figure out what was wrong with it? anyone else have any ideas?
