Onedrive problem

Just installed Win8.1,When I try to open Onedrive I get an error message "Cannot upload file path too long". Need a little help. T.I.A.

HI

Have you moved the location of OneDrives folder from the default?
Have you started moving files into OneDrive when this happened?

Likely you have a large file going in, one that may also have non standard filename *.& etc. in the name, a long file name, or a long path loacation to the folder.

Thanks for the reply. This is an existing file, upon installing Win8.1 nothing was added. The program works on two other computers.

Try this from the help page I linked too.

The file path is too long

Example of file path - C:\Users\<UserName>\Pictures\Saved\2014\January\Holiday\NewYears\Family The entire path, including the file name, must contain fewer than 255 characters. Shorten the name of your file or the name of subfolders in OneDrive, or select a subfolder that's closer to the top-level folder. Once these problems have been corrected, do the following to start syncing again:

Go to File Explorer

Right-click the OneDrive folder

Click Sync
