Online game disconnects

Hi..ongoing issue I'm struggling to solve:

Note: I had this issue a while back and somehow solved it...recently I formatted my pc, and now I have this issue again.

Issue: I play a mmorpg called Lineage II....I have 2 identical pcs side by side (not gaming pcs, but they work ok)(emachines desktops)....pc 1 has no issues at all.....pc 2 disconnects from game when sitting idle for approx. 5 minutes or so. If I operate the mouse at all, it will stay in game.

Connection: Cable ISP>modem>Belkin router>2 pcs wired, Wii U wired, Magic Jack wired...wireless (laptop, ipad, iphone x2, ipod x3, tablets x2)...never are more than 3-4 devices drawing off the router at any time (yes locked access).

Been in contact with support from Lineage II...did a pingplotter test, hijack this, and a few other things they did on their end...all they can discover is packet loss, and told me to talk to my ISP. Talked with my isp and discovered my modem (7 years old) had a bad power supply...so I swapped it. No change in disconnect issue. Lineage II support looked again and said same packet loss/latency issue...maybe it's my router.

So maybe it's my router, and yes I can get a new one (it's probably due anyways)....but the one fact I can't let go of, is that it didn't do this until the format, and the game etc were reinstalled! What else internally can I look at to figure out why I get these disconnects??

I can't remember for the life of me what I did before to make it go away (drivers? settings?)

it would help to get a little more information on the PC's, specifically the one that keeps losing connection.

also have you tried getting an update for your network card?

 

Thanks for the reply Yabba....what kind of info should I supply? And every time I check in device manager, it says they're all up to date (drivers)..
