Online problems...

    Internet Explorer works, but other online applications will not go online what can cause the PC to do this, various non destructive trojan viruses were just removed from the system ?

    For example AVG will not get online and also Outlook Express can not get a connection.

    The online connection is Verizon via wireless, the PC is a general Compaq PC with average hardware installed.
