I'm using a K8 Triton GA-K8NS-939 MB with a 64 3000, 9800 Pro 128MB and a SATA drive with 1 gig pc3200 kingston.. This morning I tried to turn my computer on and when I did everything started up, the CPU fan started, the video card did the HD and CD drive all started up but nothing would come on my screen and I didnt hear the normal beep that I have heard when I start up my computer that I have heard for months. So I made sure all cables were connected and not loose inside and outside the computer and still couldnt get it to work...

So I decided to try a different HD and nothing happened, then a different PSU and it didnt work, different RAM and different monitor with nothing happening at all. I then took everything out of the base and put it back together and made sure everything was securely connected and still couldnt get anything. I then realized nothing on the back panel of the computer was working, the light on my ethernet port isnt coming on, my keyboard lights dont come on or even my mouse (Note the ethernet port light and mouse light always stay on even after the computer is shut off but wont come on now.

I then started thinking since those things arent really getting powered but the other things are something is wrong with one of the PSU connectors but like I already said I tried a different one and it still wouldnt work which is leaving me to believe something is wrong with the motherboard. Everything in this computer is no older than 6 months. I thankfuly do have a warranty on everything but that doesnt do me any good unless I find the problem since all of the parts were bought from newegg.com being a site I need to find the problem first.. Taking it to a store such as Bestbuy or CompUSA they will charge me $100 alone just to look at it...

So I was just hoping someone might know what the problem is.

The problem sounds like the 5V supply isnt getting where it should, 5V is responsible for many many things on the motherboard including those you mentioned. just for the sake of it have you tried reseting your CMOS BIOS, the motherboard manual should tell you where to locate the jumper for doing this and the procedure for your motherboard. you will have to go through BIOS Set Up after if it does reboot. If there was a Problem with the CPU, RAM or Graphics Card, the BIOS checks these as part of its initioal first steps and will give warning beeps if anything is wrong, but as your not getting this far, try resetting bios
to see if that cures it :)

Are you sure you actually cleared CMOS, does the board have a cmos clear switch or the pull the battery trick? I have a board that I need to wait 10 -20 min for CMOS to clear when I pull the battery (original Nforce, MSI).
