I had to change some security permissions on my computer to make some applications work and now when i try to run chkdsk i get this:

    C:\Users\Snipergod87>chkdsk
Access Denied as you do not have sufficient privileges.
You have to invoke this utility running in elevated mode.

I also get the same issues when i try to release and renew my ip address. Any idea what i screwed up and how to fix it, i am running Vista Ultimate 32bit.

Click on start, and in the "start search now" box, type "cmd" (no quotes). It will find a black "cmd" application. Right click on it, and choose "run as administrator". You will be able to do administrative stuff like releasing the ip address and running a chkdsk from that "elevated" command prompt.
