oops? byebye quick launch :cry

hmm.. i seem to have deleted my quick launch bar by mistake. Can rehash exactly how i did it. I was looking at some tips and tricks for vista. One was how to make the quick launch bar a tool bar separate from the task bar. I succeeded in doing this. But in th eprocess i managed to move the quick launch folder to my desktop. Well after i got the tool bar as a separate toolbar i decided i didnt like it and moved it back to the taskbar. Then proceeded to delete the folder on the desktop thinking it was just a copy or shortcut to the original folder. Well turns out it was the actual folder. And i have the computer set to automatically delete instead of using the recycling bin(cuz i normally forget to empty the recycling bin). So now whenever i go to open something on my quick launch bar, it isnt there and i have to go find it again.

Anyone know how to fix this? i thought maybe if i just make a new quick launch folder that would do the trick. I did so in the appropriate directory(thx to google), but to no avail. im still quicklaunch-less. i think it has to do with the desktop.ini file that was in it. Would it be possible to get that from someone or to make a new one via notepad?

edit: oh should include this is vista 64 bit ultimate...

 

ok nevermind.. it made me mad trying to figure it out so i just did a system restore. Lucky one had been made just before i did it(thank you automatic update for installing an update just then:-D)
